Dear Vivek,
On behalf of the Toronto Black Watch Association (TBWA), I am pleased to offer our full endorsement and support for Ride 2 Remember 2026, a seven-day, 765-kilometre cycling journey from Dundas, Ontario to Mount Royal, Montreal, undertaken in support of Canada’s veterans.
The Toronto Black Watch Association has stood alongside the veterans and serving members of The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada since 1921, when our branch was formed by First World War veterans of the Regiment. Through our Active Service Fund and our ongoing work within the GTA veteran community, we understand firsthand the value of initiatives that convert public gratitude into tangible support for those who have served. Ride 2 Remember’s planned ceremonial stops, including the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and National War Memorial in Ottawa, and the planned stop at our Regiment’s own Black Watch Armoury in Montreal — reflect a route and purpose that align closely with our mission. The planned finish line will be Montreal’s Mont Royal.
As President of the Toronto Black Watch Association, I am proud to have been endorsed by the membership to join the Ride 2 Remember leadership team as Veteran Relations Lead. All TBWA members are confident this ride will do a great deal to raise funds, awareness, and gratitude for veterans across Ontario and Quebec.
Therefore, the Toronto Black Watch Association wholeheartedly endorses Ride 2 Remember 2026 and encourages fellow regimental associations, foundations, and members of the public to support this meaningful undertaking.
