Cyber security expert stands with members of the Forces who kept Canada secure

Ride2Remember is a one-man, 825 km bike ride to raise funds for Canadian Veterans

Toronto, September 18, 2026 – After a 30-year career helping Canadian corporations stay secure in cyberspace, Vivek Khindria wants to give back to those who keep Canada secure at home and on the global stage.

Khindria will launch his Ride2Remember fundraiser on September 25, a solo, seven-day, 825-kilometre bike ride through two provinces in support of Veterans and their families.

Starting at the Royal Canadian Legion Valley City Branch in Dundas, Ontario, Khindria will cycle through Pickering, Peterborough, Tweed, Perth, and Ottawa before finishing in Montreal, Quebec. He will make two special stops en route: the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the National War Memorial in Ottawa, and the Black Watch Armoury in Montreal, home of Canada’s oldest surviving Highland regiment.

The goal of Ride2Remember is to raise $50,000 to support True Patriot Love Foundation, which provides grants to organizations and programs for Veterans, servicepeople, and their families. Funding from True Patriot Love has supported more than 1,100 programs across Canada, from post-service employment to mental health to summer camps for children from military families. In addition to money, raising awareness with a goal of 100,000 impressions and 100 people attending the milestones. All three goals have passed the 30% mark.

Members of the public can help him reach his fundraising goal by donating at Ride2Remember.ca. All donations over $10 will get a tax receipt.

In his daily life Vivek is the president at Risk Embrace Inc., advising organizations and corporate boards on cyber strategy and AI governance.

“People ask me why I am doing this ride,” Vivek says. “As a long-time cyber security professional, I know there is no cyber security without physical security. Veterans put their lives on the line to defend Canada and its values, and support peace. Their sacrifices are an inseparable part of the Canadian brand known and loved worldwide. Ride2Remember is a chance to say thank you to those who gave us so much.”
