Letter of Appreciation — Ride 2 Remember 2026

As a veteran, I have come to appreciate that meaningful support for our military community often comes from individuals who choose to stand alongside veterans, not because they have to, but because they genuinely care. It is in that spirit that I would like to express my sincere appreciation for Vivek Khindria and the entire Ride 2 Remember team.

The challenge that lies ahead of them is nothing short of monumental. Covering 825 kilometers over seven consecutive days, while travelling through communities across Ontario and Quebec and maintaining a schedule filled with commemorative events and engagements, will demand extraordinary physical endurance, mental resilience, planning, and teamwork. This undertaking is not simply a bike ride; it is a significant commitment of time, effort, and personal sacrifice in support of a cause greater than themselves.

What resonates most with me is that this effort is about more than fundraising. It is about remembrance, recognition, and ensuring that veterans and their families know they have not been forgotten. The willingness of Vivek and his team to dedicate themselves to supporting the veteran community sends a powerful message of respect and appreciation to those who have served our country.

While Vivek may be the individual undertaking the ride, achievements of this magnitude are never accomplished alone. Behind every kilometer ridden stands a dedicated team of volunteers, supporters, veteran advocates, family members, and community partners who have invested countless hours into making this initiative possible. Their collective commitment demonstrates the very best of community leadership and civic service.

Initiatives such as this help strengthen the bond between Canadians and the men and women who have served in uniform. They remind us that support for veterans extends well beyond military service and into the communities where veterans live, work, and continue to contribute.

On behalf of myself as a veteran, I would like to thank Vivek and everyone involved with Ride 2 Remember for their dedication, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to supporting veterans and their families. Their efforts are deeply appreciated and serve as a powerful example of what can be accomplished when individuals come together in the service of others.

I wish Vivek and the entire team every success and safe travels as they undertake this remarkable journey.
